Sabzi Week 8!

Hello! Salam Hamegi!

Lots and lots of delicious reyhan this week to bring you, and Persian mint will be making a comeback as well!

My cofarmers and I just heard back that we will likely be allowed to renew our lease! Here's a list of things that I am getting excited about planning once this season is over:

- We will soon start talking about our winter crop plans. I'm excited to grow sabzi this winter and curious if I'll be able to sell you some or if they will grow too slowly. But this means that I'll be able to bring you sabzi much earlier in the year next year! Fingers crossed they will be ready by Nowruz.

- I'm also very excited to overwinter flowers. There are many flower varieties that I love that do very well in the early spring when they've been growing slowly all winter.

- Next year I'd like to try a CSA/subscription model for sabzi and...

- I'd like to try to have a couple more pickup locations in different parts of the bay. Looking for recs in SF and in the South Bay if you know of any cool Iranian spots!

Here's a sweet photo of SSWANA friends who joined me at the farm earlier this week. It's magical to show Iranians the field because they are so connected to the plants I'm growing. There was so much excitement about every plant, and I couldn't give enough detail or tell enough stories about them to satisfy their curiosity. It's such a privilege to do this work and I am thinking hard about how to make this "job" more sustainable so I can do it for a long, long time.

Thank you for reading, hope to see you soon.
