THE FARM

Reyhan Herb Farm

Leased on traditional Coast Miwok territory, this patch of earth is nestled in a valley overlooked by majestic oak trees and hundreds of turkey vultures, crows, and hawks. There are four of us on this land, each stewarding crops from our heritages.

This farm focuses on growing heritage crops from Iran and the SSWANA region. The goal is to engage in our cultural foodways, despite being separated from our homelands.

THE FOOD

Sabzi Mabzi

Our focus is on traditional herbs eaten in Iran, called Sabzi. These foods play important roles in our food culture, and it’s been such a blessing for me and my community to be reunited with them.

THE SEED

Seeds from Iran

It’s difficult to access seed varieties from back home here on Turtle Island. We make seeds from the heritage crops grown on the farm available here on this website. Hopefully, it can help you feel connected to your homeland, culture, and ancestry.
